The Summer Palace is a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing.
UNESCO declared the Summer Palace "a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design. The natural landscape of hills and open water is combined with artificial features such as pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges to form a harmonious ensemble of outstanding aesthetic value".
What's included?

    Entrance tickets to all areas of the Summer Palace, including Suzhou Street, Virtue and Harmony Garden, Tower of Buddhist Incense, and the Summer Palace Museum (formerly Wenchang Courtyard).

        1. Please remember to bring the original passport to the ticket gate, enter directly without redemption of paper tickets. 

        2. The entrance gates of the Summer Palace: Donggong Gate(East Gate), Beigong Gate(North Gate), Xinjiangong Gate, Nanruyi Gate(South Gate), Beiruyi Gate(North Gate), West gate

        3. I. Park opening hours

        Peak season (April 1st - October 31st): 6:00 am to open, 7:00 pm to stop admission, 8:00 pm to close.

        Off-season (November 1st - March 31st): 6:30 am to open, 6:00 pm to stop admission, 7:00 pm to close.

        II. Opening hours of scenic spots and courtyards

        (I) Buddhist Incense Pavilion, Dehe Garden, Summer Palace Museum, Suzhou Street

        Peak season (April 1st - October 31st): 8:00 am to open, 6:00 pm to close.

        Off-season (November 1st - March 31st): Open at 8:30 and close at 17:00.

        (ii) Xiqu Garden, Jiqingxuan, Yangyunxuan, Yishoutang, Yulantang, Yiyun Pavilion, Leshoutang, Huazhongyou, Nanhu Island Courtyard, Farming and Weaving Picture Water Exercise School

        Peak season (April 1st - October 31st): Open at 8:00 and close at 18:00.

        Off-season (November 1st - March 31st): Open at 8:30 and close at 17:00.

        Except for statutory holidays, Dehe Garden, Buddhist Incense Pavilion, Museum, Suzhou Street 4 gardens and Jiqingxuan, Yangyunxuan, Yishoutang, Nanhu Island Courtyard, Farming and Weaving Picture Water Exercise School and other courtyard attractions are closed on Mondays.

        4. All visitors in one booking must enter at the same time. If visitors need to enter the museum at different times, please book separately. 

        5. There may be temporary closures that cannot always be scheduled in advance since they are frequently caused by unforeseen circumstances. 

        6. If you book for a date within 7 days, we will send you the ticket within 1 hour. 

        7. If you book for a date after 7 days, we will send you the ticket within 10 days before the date of the visit.  

        8. Foreign visitors aged 60 and over free admission with their passports.

        9. Children under 6 years of age (including 6 years of age) or below 1.2 meters (including 1.2 meters) free admission with their passports.
