Trip Inclusions and Important Information

I. Transportation Arrangements

Authorized tourist vehicles (7–26 seats) are provided for the entire journey; if there are fewer than 4 participants joining the tour in Lhasa, the travel agency will arrange taxi transfers at no extra cost. Vehicle and tour guide assignments for group tours are subject to last-minute adjustments. Vehicle conditions in Tibet generally lean towards older models; most lack air conditioning or do not use it. Speed ​​limits are enforced on local road sections, requiring stops and waiting periods along the route. Please be punctual for daily pickups, as brief waits may occur; no refunds for transportation costs are provided if a traveler voluntarily leaves the tour midway. Luggage limit: one 26-inch suitcase plus one carry-on backpack; excess luggage must be stored at the hotel in Lhasa.

II. Accommodation Arrangements

Standard twin rooms are provided throughout the trip; single rooms and extra beds are not guaranteed, and breakfast for a single-occupancy room is not included. For solo male or female travelers, the agency may arrange room-sharing, a triple room, or require payment of a single-room supplement. Hotels are centrally arranged by the agency; requests for specific room types or hotels cannot be accommodated.

III. Dining Arrangements

Hotel breakfasts are included throughout the trip, along with two complimentary specialty meals (no refunds if skipped): a Lhasa specialty meal and a scenic hot pot at Yamdrok Lake. Travelers are responsible for other meals; no refunds are provided for missed meals, and guests may bring their own snacks if local flavors do not suit their tastes. Specialty meals may be flexibly scheduled for either lunch or dinner.

IV. Tour Guide Services

Chinese, English, or bilingual (Chinese-English) guides are provided; bilingual services are arranged when passengers speaking different languages ​​share the same vehicle. Please note that tour guides and vehicles may change during the group tour itinerary.

V. Attraction Tickets

Includes first-entry tickets for all scheduled attractions: Tibetan culture experience, Sera Monastery, Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Yamdrok Lake, Karola Glacier, Rongbuk Monastery, Mount Everest (including eco-bus), Tashilhunpo Monastery, and Namtso Lake (including eco-bus). Visits are guaranteed, though alternative attractions may be negotiated in the event of force majeure. During the off-season, pricing is based on discounted winter ticket rates; no refunds or additional charges apply regarding ticket price differences. Real-name reservations are required for the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple; please cooperate with the tour guide's arrangements.

VI. Entry Permits for Tibet

Assistance is provided to obtain the Tibet Travel Permit, Alien's Travel Permit, and Military Area Entry Permit. Border permits are required for certain border-area attractions.

VII. Complimentary Transfers (Only on the start and end days of the itinerary)

Lhasa Gonggar Airport: Free pickup (08:00–22:00) and drop-off (08:30–22:30); free pickup and drop-off at Lhasa Railway Station. Transfers are at your own expense if you arrive early, depart late, or if your flight falls outside the complimentary service hours. Group transfers involve shared vehicles and may entail a waiting time of up to 2 hours; private transfers are available at an additional cost upon request.

VIII. Complimentary Services

1. One portable oxygen canister per person and two 300ml bottles of mineral water daily; a 6.8L emergency medical oxygen tank is provided in the vehicle.

2. Complimentary audio guide headset for the Potala Palace (please keep it safe and return it after use).

IX. Comprehensive Service Fee

Includes the travel agency's full-service fee, the reservation processing fee for Potala Palace tickets, and accommodation and meal allowances for the driver and tour guide.

1 Single Supplement: Hotel accommodation is based on double occupancy (except for multi-bed rooms); a single supplement applies if a private room is required.

2 Accommodation Costs: As rooms are pre-paid in full, the traveler is responsible for any accommodation costs resulting from itinerary changes made during the trip.

3 Personal Expenses: Costs such as laundry, telephone calls, faxes, pay-per-view TV, beverages, snacks, tobacco, alcohol, and other personal expenditures incurred at the hotel.

4 Unexpected Circumstances: The travel agency reserves the right to cancel or modify the itinerary due to force majeure or reasons beyond the agency's control (e.g., natural disasters, war, strikes, epidemics), airline issues, or insufficient participant numbers; the agency reserves the right to charge for any additional costs incurred as a result.

5 Major Transportation: Round-trip transportation to and from Tibet (e.g., airfare or train tickets) is not included in the tour price; if the travel agency arranges these bookings, additional fees will apply.

Regarding gratuities (the quoted price does not include tips for the driver and tour guide): It is recommended that travelers tip 60 RMB per person per day (30 RMB/day for the tour guide and 30 RMB/day for the driver).

The Potala Palace is closed on Mondays; if the itinerary falls on a Monday, the group tour schedule will be adjusted. Please confirm the final itinerary with your sales representative.

Tour Notes:

 The travel agency reserves the right to adjust the itinerary and the sequence of sightseeing visits based on actual conditions, provided that all attractions included in the itinerary are fully visited.

 Both domestic and international tourists (including those from Taiwan) are welcome to join our group tours; however, tourists from Taiwan and foreign nationals must apply for a Tibet Travel Permit in advance (the agency will handle the application for this permit).

Tips for Visiting the Potala Palace & Jokhang Temple

Real-name reservation required; you must bring your original ID document and enter with the tour guide during your scheduled time slot.

Wear flat shoes and modest clothing; shorts, short skirts, and open-toed sandals/slippers are prohibited. Remove hats and sunglasses before entering the halls.

No loud talking, climbing, or touching artifacts inside the halls. Photography and videography are strictly prohibited throughout the visit. Do not bring beverages; open flames and smoking are strictly forbidden.

It is chilly inside the palace; a light jacket is recommended. Visits to the Potala Palace are limited to one hour, and guides provide commentary only outside the palace.

Stairways are narrow and steep; move slowly and in an orderly fashion to avoid crowding, and leave promptly after the visit.

Tips for Traveling to Tibet

Altitude Sickness & Health

Travel to Tibet is not recommended for individuals with heart or lung conditions, high blood pressure, severe colds, or severe anemia; please do not withhold medical history when signing up.

Ensure adequate sleep before the trip; consider taking *Rhodiola rosea* (Hongjingtian) or *Gaoyuan'an* supplements one week in advance. Rest well for the first 1–2 days after arrival; avoid bathing, strenuous exercise, and excessive smoking or alcohol consumption on the day of arrival.

Walk slowly and minimize physical exertion at high altitudes; stay hydrated and avoid overeating (eat until about 70% full). Keep chocolate and American ginseng handy; seek medical attention or supplemental oxygen if you experience headaches or vomiting.

Clothing & Supplies

There is a significant temperature difference between day and night; nighttime temperatures at Mount Everest can drop to 0–5°C even in August, so bring a down jacket for warmth. Power outages may occur at night in remote areas; bring a flashlight and tissues.

UV radiation is strong and the climate is dry; bring sunscreen, sunglasses, lip balm, and a sun hat. Carry basic medications for gastrointestinal issues, colds, and minor injuries.

Itinerary & Facilities

The region is vast and travel times are long; local hotels, vehicles, and dining facilities may not match the standards of other regions in China—we ask for your understanding.

Beijing Time is used universally; daily schedules are shifted two hours later compared to other regions—please adjust your routine accordingly.

Customs & Safety

Agree on a price beforehand when photographing local Tibetans or yaks to avoid disputes. Do not leave the tour group without permission; go out in pairs or groups at night and return to the hotel before midnight. Please respect Tibetan customs: tour monasteries in a clockwise direction and refrain from taking photos inside the halls; avoid consuming dog, horse, monkey, or donkey meat; consume offered tea and alcohol in moderation; keep *khata* (ceremonial scarves) clean and avoid taking them into unclean areas; and steer clear of political topics during conversations.

Monasteries are managed by administrative committees; opening hours may vary, and we ask for your understanding regarding any unexpected closures.
